My art teacher wants to give art lessons this summer. There will probably be about ten people in total in the class and for about a month or so once or twice a week. She may or may not buy supplies. Do you know how much she should charge?

I remember when I took art, there was a certain paper that we used. It was somewhat thick from what I can remember. Does anyone know what it’s called?

any paper with a good “tooth” will work well for colored pencils…when you go to the art supply store, look for a pad of “drawing” paper as opposed to sketch paper and newsprint.
“Tooth” refers to surface texture–the more tactile the paper surface is, the more color medium it holds…sketch paper and especially newsprint are lower quality and have less of or practically no tooth at all.
You might be thinking of Bristol (thick paper). Again, just go with more tooth = better paper = better drawing.

I really want to get started on art exhibitions before I’m 20, so I can have a head start. I was just wondering how do I go about opening my own or even being apart of one. Also, does the same go for photographs in exhibitions.

i think first you should get the connections. i mean i go to classes in art center, and the teachers are wonderful, full of experience. they have/had their own galleries, own art exhibitions, and etc. and the art center does have its own gallery, so its like they pick the best students and have a whole week for students art.
